Welcome to weyrlinghood at High Reaches Weyr.
At High Reaches Weyr, we stress the importance of roleplay that centers around personal development and group bonding. To this end, rather than having required classes, we base our weyrlinghood around a scheduled roleplay night, where we will attempt to focus on some non-class aspect of weyrlinghood, and vignettes. Classes and training will be going on outside of this, off-camera for the most part, but if you would like to RP out the lectures in addition to our regularly scheduled nights, please +mail the weyrlingmaster staff. They are, however, completely optional.
Each week will list various activities that will be going on off-camera, to provide you with a fuller sense of the life you will be leading as a weyrling and what you might be learning from week to week.
What we require for graduation is simply reasonably consistent activity. A selection of vignette prompts are available per week, and though you do not have to write for each one, we'd appreciate it if you could respond to at least one each week in the High Reaches Weyr weyrling livejournal. It's a great way to get further into the head of your character and his or her unique and possibly complex relationship with their dragon.
